U’khand aims to attract Rs 70k cr business during Investors Summit

The Uttarakhand government is planning to attract a business of Rs 70,000 crore during the Investors’ Summit, which will be held in Dehradun in December this year. The state cabinet approved the preparations for the summit during a meeting on Friday.

Vinay Shankar Pandey, Secretary of MSME, said, “We aim to complete the formalities of projects worth Rs 30,000 crore before the start of the summit. This will allow the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to be a final confirmation. To achieve this, we have instructed the departments to identify suitable sectors, locations, and firms for investment.”

Officials stated that these investments are expected to provide direct employment to 2.5 lakh people and indirectly benefit other sectors such as the hotel industry and cab operators. They also mentioned that a high-powered committee would be formed for the summit.
